Bird’s Foot Trefoil (Lotus corniculatus)

Îles des Boucherville, July 2014

When ever I see this flower, I am always impressed about how optimized and intense nature can build out features. Expressed in the Bird’s Foot Trefoil in the strong, overwhelming yellow color, dominating any other nearby plant which would like to compete within the same color spectrum.

I admire this flower also for it’s skill to grow and flourish in arduous locations, often found on the border of pathways and trails.
