Parc Michel-Chartrand, August 2014
Around the small artificial lakes, the park is cultivated with large grass areas, trees, benches and wooden tables. In the periphery the park is surrounded by natural vegetation and a larger area without trails serving as retreat zone for wildlife. Great for walking with several gravel trails leading through the park, a bit too small for bikers, although there is a trail around the park summing up in a few kilometer drive. Perfect picnic place with opportunities to explore:
- Canada Geese
- White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus)
- Canada Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis)
- Common Burdock (Arctium minus)
BTW: The park is named after Michel Chartrand, a Quebec union activist and political leader.
