My last bike trip of summer 2014 and my favorite one. This park is beautiful with a variety of different settings such as forest, lake, swamp, drier grass areas and the nearby river. Being able to watch different animals is guaranteed! Maybe one day, when I am able to get out a bit earlier, I may also be able to see more birds. The park is located about 40 kms away from Montreal downtown and that’s maybe the reason why there are fewer visitors. I was very lucky and able to get pictures of different animals, some of them I still haven’t been able to find out the scientific names. I will add them to the list once I get their ID.
Here the list without two missing which I will add later:
- White-Tailed Deer (Odocileus Virginianus)
- Northern Leopard Frog (Lithobates pipiens)
- Bullfrog (Rana catesbeiana)
- Autumn Meadowhawk (Sympetrum vicinum)
- White-Faced Meadowhawk (Sympetrum Obtrusum)
