Frozen – Common Tern on the Move

Fast point and shoot with the result of a white blurry something in most of the cases. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay in the park this Sunday, admiring the elegance and fast flight of this aerodynamically optimized bird. What a relieve to work with a camera able to focus very fast. With my Canon Powershot these photos wouldn’t have been possible.

With the experience of this weekend, I further increased my admiration of nature documentary cameramen/camerawomen. It’s one thing to walk around and to get some photos of birds flying around, another thing to get some steady sharp movie clips of them. Looking forward to my intention to do that, though.
