A short brown to gray snake with a fine line along the center bordered by black spots, native to Quebec, feeding on worms, snails and slugs.
I spotted this species only once at the left entrance to Park Pointe aux Prairies in spring. DeKay's brownsnake is on IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
Smaller than other snakes like Common Garter snake, brown-grey with black spots.
