When It’s Running and Why

The broadcast runs daily from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Eastern Time) and can be seen as live stream on YouTube: Experience Quebec's Wilderness.

This project is about sharing the beauty and diversity of Quebec’s natural environments in an accessible, ambient format. It’s ideal for working, studying, meditating, or unwinding with the calming presence of wild soundscapes. The live chat is open during the broadcast, and I’m often present to respond to questions or comments. Whether you're curious about a particular sound, species, or location—feel free to ask.

All soundscapes are recorded by myself and showcase the rich variety of habitats and seasons found across Quebec. The current soundscape selection rotates daily from the following recordings, each capturing a unique moment in Quebec’s natural habitats:

Setup

This broadcast runs entirely from a compact local setup:

This project combines immersive field recordings with lightweight automation—bringing nature to YouTube in a consistent, low-maintenance format. Personally, I run it on the large TV near my desk while working. It provides relaxing background sound and, with its hourly rotation, a gentle reminder to take a short break every hour.
